Your account settings: details, password and domain holder
Updated: 2026-07-26 · YaDominios
Open your panel and go to Settings (the gear icon in the menu). There you change your name, the language of your emails, your password and your email address, and edit the holder details used to register your domains. Changing your password or email requires your current password, for safety.
Everything in one place
Your panel menu has Settings (the gear icon). Everything about you lives there:
- Your account: your email (and whether it is verified), account type, creation date and account age.
- Your profile: your full name and the language we write to you in (Spanish or English).
- Password: change it by entering the current one and the new one (at least 10 characters, letters and numbers).
- Email address: change it by confirming your password; a verification link goes to the new address.
- Holder details: the name, phone and address your domains are registered with (required by ICANN). Keep them current.
Security when changing your password
When you change your password, your other open sessions are signed out automatically: if you left the panel open on another computer, it loses access. The session where you made the change stays active.
If you forgot your password
From the sign-in screen use "Forgot your password?": we send a link to your email to create a new one. That is why keeping your email current matters.
Frequently asked questions
Can I change my account email?
Yes, in Settings → Change email address. We ask for your password to confirm it is you, and a verification link goes to the new address.
What happens to my domains if I change the holder details?
The updated details are used for your next registrations and renewals. Your current domains are not interrupted.
Why does it ask for my current password to change it?
It is a protection: if someone finds your session open, they cannot take over your account without knowing your password.
Am I notified when something changes in my account?
Yes. Every sensitive change — password, email, holder details or your site variables — reaches you by email as a security notice. If it was not you, you can act right away.
How do I verify my email address?
When you sign up we send you a 6-digit code: enter it on the verification screen and you are done. If it did not arrive or expired, you can request a new code on the same screen (check spam the first time).
